Turkey Burger with Yogurt Sauce

I was looking for a new good turkey burger because most of the time turkey burgers are pretty boring.  I had heard about Oprah’s favorite turkey burger and started searching for it on the Internet.  As usually I did changes to the recipe, I didn’t want apples in my burger and I wanted a yogurt sauce to the burger. It was delishhh!  These were probably the best turkey burgers I have every had.  Turkey burgers are no longer boring to me.  Try them out!

Turkey Burger with Yogurt Sauce

Yield: Serves 6-8

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

Turkey Burgers
1 ¼ lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 finely chopped celery stalk
1 finely chopped carrot
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 egg
1 tsp dijon mustar
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp Worchester sauce
1 tbsp of bread crumbs
1 tbsp of Major Grey’s Chutney

Yogurt Sauce
½ cup of plain yogurt, preferable Greek style yogurt
1 tsp of dried dill
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp of olive oil
1tsp of lemon juice
Salt
White pepper

Directions:

Turkey Burgers
Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.  Shape into the size of burger you wish, I like my a little smaller and made 8 burgers. BBQ them on the grill, or fry them on a frying pan with a little of vegetable oil.  About 2 minutes on each side, but that depends how thick you made them

Serve with hamburger roll and yogurt sauce.  Enjoy!

Yogurt Sauce
Mix all together and server with your favorite burger.

Yogurt sauce is my new obsession. I used to be a ketchup fiend, but tzatziki and the like are so refreshing during summertime! This sounds like perfect barbecue food to me. 🙂

Maddie – Mee too. This is my favorite yogurt sauce and then the Tzatziki. The tzatziki sometime is overpowering vs. this sauce just goes with everything. I put it on burgers, and also use it as dressing or dipping sauce etc. Also feels so much healthier than regular dressing.

Grace, I am all about having lunch or dinner food for breakfast. I sometimes have soup for breakfast and love it. Especially when i am traveling to Asia, i love having hot noodle soup for breakfast. So go for it! Thanks for coming by 🙂
